A Candle Is Better Than a Bar Any Day

There are various ways that stock prices are represented on charts.

The most common charts are what are known as:
" line
" bar
" candlestick.

Line charts are what you typically see on the TV or in newspapers. They represent price action by a single line.

They only show the closing prices of the stock and are of little use to traders. Because they do not show what has happened during the day.

Bar charts represent both the open and close prices. In addition, they include the high and low of the day. These four prices are critical for your full analysis of a stock's price action.

Candlestick charts show us all the price information of a bar chart but in a far more graphical and clear way.

The "story' of the stock literally jumps out at you.

When we were first introduced to trading it was with bar charts. However, when we discovered candlesticks a few years back we immediately saw the clarity and detail that they provided.

They may seem a little strange to you at first but do persevere. We can assure you that they are the only sort of chart to use!

In addition, candlestick patterns, particularly reversal patterns are one of our favorite tools in chart analysis. Doji, shooting stars and inverted hammers may sound a bit weird at first but they are some of the best friends a trader can ever have!

Therefore, if you are not familiar with candlestick charts and patterns I would strongly suggest that you learn more, now.

In addition, the VERY BEST explanation of candlesticks [apart from the SMG Tutorials of course!] is Louise Bedford's "The Secret of Candlestick Charting". It is on our booklist in: www.stockmarketgenie.com/resources

Choosing Candles & Scents Part 1 - Candles for July

Choosing Candles & Scents Part 1 - Candles for July

Deciding on just a few candles is rarely easy. With so much to choose from now (possibly even thousands of scents), it's next to impossible to choose just one. This is part one of a number of articles to follow on choosing candle scents for your home.

With 4th of July and several weeks of celebration, it seems only natural too choose an Amercian type candle, or even a "summer" scent. Here are some suggestions for scents that "fit" the month of July:

American Style Containers:
Many candles companies are now offering candles with red, white, and blue layers. Others offer American flag design containers and votive holders.

Apple Pie Scent:
This has become quite popular, and for a good reason. It's absolutely yummy, and smells good enough to eat! Nothing says American quite like Apple Pie.

Blueberry Muffin:
Another very "American-like" scent. This scent smells just like blueberry muffins right out of the oven.

Watermelon Scent:
Looking for something a little more sweet? Try this summer favorite. Watermelons are a picnic favorite, and a fun summer treat.

Cinderella Scent:
If you prefer floral scents, here's a nice one for mid-summer. This unique scent is a romantic aroma of amber, musk, vanilla, with base tones of fresh cut violets and lily of the valley. Available at many candle stores online.

Dandelion Pear:
Another unique summer scent. This aroma begins with the slightly bitter aroma of dandelion, and wildflowers; perfectly mellowed out with tart fresh pear, green tea leaves, and cool aloe vera.

Honeysuckle:
Still looking for something a bit more floral? Try this simple favorite. While more of a spring-time scent, this one is also nice for mid-summer.

Review for Candle Basket- Assorted Summer Scents

These candles smelled wonderful. I could smell them through the box when the mail man delivered them. Once I opened the box everyone that was in my house come to see what the wonderful smell was. When my husband come home for work that day he wanted to know what I had baked for desert that night. Nothing is what I told him. I have been teasing him every day I burn the candles now.

The candles seem to last forever. I had a votive last for week and I burned it every day for several hours a day.

The votive holder was frosted glass. It fit the votives perfectly. I did not have to worry about the wax coming out the top unto my table.

I would highly recommend you to try out this candles. Check out her site at www.whitelilyscents.com
